Question by Derricks Angel: Difference between a Patient Care Assistant and a Certified Nursing Assistant?
Can someone please tell me the difference between a Patient Care Assistant and a Certified Nursing Assistant? Do they have certain duties or different duties. What are the salaries for both?

TO BE HONEST SISTER, THEY BOTH BROKE…BOTTOM LINE. AIM HIGHER THAN THAT . But becoming a nursing assistant can be a good first stepping stone on the way to RN

    Patient Care Assistant requires a little more training above and beyond the traditional CNA certification, such as more clinical hours in home health and hospitals although I don’t think there is much difference in salary. Of course the pay scale will differ depending upon what area you live in. I know around my area (midwest) CNA’s make on average $10-$12 an hour, more if you work in house pool. I was making $16 during the week and $17 on the weekends when I was a CNA when I was working pool about 5 years ago.
