I am planning on relocating to Omaha and im just trying to gather as much information as possible,

Are you certified in state of Nebraska, i.e. moving from, say, Lincoln or Grand Island to Omaha? The nursing assistant salary won’t be much different. CNA is a very low level job, and in most places now they only make minimum wage. If you can get -10/hour based on good experience, you’re lucky. More likely not even .

Pay rates for Certified Nrsing Assistants have dropped over the past decade. Loads of immigrants, especially nurses who were trained & licensed as RNs in Philippines and Haiti, who do not qualify for nursing licenses in US, so they get CNA. The US is glutted with them. Lots more supply than demand, so wages have dropped. One area I know of (East Coast, major metro area), wages dropped from to 7 in a year. Minimum wage is now a bit above that.
